Napoli, DJ Renato, and 5am

Yesterday we went to Napoli to do a little shopping and a little shopping is what we did. I was so nervous. In GA, hell America I wear a size M to L and OO8 had me nervous thinking I could barely find shirts to fit me blah blah blah which was not the case. I found a few and we bought a few shirts. Then I found a brouche that was a pretty green apple and a lady bug necklace to wear for going out and such. I of course picked up a few trinkets for people back home but trinket shopping is not finish which I will have to finish soon being we leave for home next Saturday. Napoli on the other hand is a beautiful and interesting city. Funny for OO8 cuz he has never been there with a tourist which I was and I was snapping all kinds of pictures of places he takes for granted, lol. I even took pictures of the festive train station that had been redone. We walked past where he went to college and where his sister goes to college. I also had the most delicious and delicate pastry as well. We tried to go to McDonalds so I could taste the difference between the ones in US and the ones here but it was closed and on the door actually it said all the ones in Napoli were closing. No reason was given just that they were closing. I guess we should have stopped by the Burger King to taste that difference since it was still open, lol. I still laugh every time I pass by a Mailboxes Etc. cuz that is about the only thing here that kind of says America because that is the only thing I have seen that is here and there besides the Burger King and what was McDonalds. If I see another bar though that says the name and then claims to be an "American Bar" I am going to scream. There is nothing American about these bars. If you do not order the right drink the drink can suck and hellllllllo it takes forever to get one drink after another cuz they may not stop at your table again unless you beat them down. It is ridiculous.

With that being said.....

After coming back on the train from Napoli, being tired of all the walking we did, OO8 and I went to go get pizza. Ok I have never been on a scooter before now let alone carrying 3 pizzas. It was an interesting ride but nonetheless the pizzas made it unharmed and still looking like pizzas, lol. After eating and what, about 45mins to get ready we went what seemed like to no mans land to see Diva Queen DJ. It was a lovely spot we went to, the parking lot was not great, when you are wearing white linen pants and the parking lot is dirt so dust is kicking up but hey I made it, lol. There was a pool on the inside, tables with the canopy around and what seemed like a pretty nice dance floor. Now we meet a group of people, we all went inside and got a table around the pool. Now mind you we do not have to wait in a line because we are on the list and I think we got a table pretty easy because we are/were on the list but at the table or because we have a table each person has to spend at least $25 each or for a couple, $50 each. Now being from America $25 or even $50 between 2 people here can get you feeling real nice and in America that is a cheap date. Hell OO8 said if that is all I would spend or spent going out with Mel he would be singing in the streets which I giggled but I understand why cuz $25 in US is only about 3 drinks. Over here in Napoli it gets you 3 drinks, 2 beers and a coffee or 2, lol. Even if I just got 5 cocktails it is still just $25. Now there is a difference between 25 euro and 25 bucks but still even after the conversion it is still a cheap date. With all that being said, lets just say we lost half of the group because people are watching their pennies. Ummmm hello, did you not realize you were going out and why did you not save up for that or at least have some going out funds set aside I mean come on. Before OO8 I had to be one of those people to set aside the funds to go out to drink and you set aside money to park, drink, tips and gas. So can you tell me why if you had no money you came out or came out without your man and if he is broke why the hell both of yall came out. You do not come out to a place like that with only 25 euro and the cost to park there is maybe 5 to 7 euro. Cuz places like that or at least clubs here I noticed let you in free but you have to buy at least a drink or two and they are not cheap or at least the first one is not cheap at all when they do that. Needless to say we stayed which I am happy in some ways about. I got to hear/see DJ Renato do his thing and see some more Napoli night life other than the one I had been seeing, lol. The dance floor however was a mess. There were people dancing or trying to dance but that was/is kind of hard when people want to walk around on the dance floor. Oh I wanted to just push people and be like either dance on the floor or do not bring your ass on the dance floor. Do not find your friend here to walk over there, talk to them and then want to walk around, do that near a table or something, grrrr. But either way OO8 and I got a few dances in before he needed a cig to deal with the bad floor, lol. After a while though there were people dancing every where, on tables, on benches, around the pools edge, I mean everywhere. Around 330am the party was still going and strong but we left for our coffee and pastry.
We finally ended the night at 5am and missed going to Pompeii today but hey there is Monday. I do not think Pompeii is going to get up and walk away but hey if it does I did not need to see it, do not need it walking away with me in it, lol. Besides, my Saturday was pretty busy with Napoli, pizza getting, dance club going and dancing, OO8 and I needed another lazy at home do nothing day.

Girl, you said a mouthful on this one. I hear ya on the going out with no money but it sounds like you guys didn't need them anyway! That sounds like a place where you and I would have had a lot of fun and may have ended up on the tables with them. I am cracking up at the picture of you guys on the scooter with the 3 pizzas!!! Tee Hee!!!
