Monday continued.....
DDQ as we lovingly call him picks us up promptly at 11pm. I love him for that cuz I fo sho hate waiting. We head to "the spot", the Monkey Bar. We see Danny and Claude and chat with the girls for a moment and then the four of us head to a table that seats six, yes I said for, there is another girl with us, Angela. I didn't think she was festive at first but she is, she is. We are waiting on DDQ and OO8's friend and his girlfriend to show up. Now the friend we are waiting on is from Napoli (of course duh, right, lol) and his girlfriend is from Sweden. Right now they live in Sweden, from what I gather she is going to start school end of August and he works on ship engines, they have been together almost a year or something like that. Oh his nickname, we'll call him Julie or Jules. It felt good to be not the only one at the table who doesn't speak Italian and now I have someone else to chat it up with without needing my trusty translator. I thought it kind of weird and of course I don't know where they are in their relationship or where it is going but knew way more Italian than she did. Hopefully by Xmas I will be able to hold some type of broken conversation but it seemed as if she wasn't curious about it at all unless I am wrong and in school she will be taking a class for it. I mean cuz to be honest that is OO8's preferred language especially here in Italy and I gotta know what is being said, it is the nosey in me, lol.
Jules is an interesting fella and is like OO8, knows a ton of folks. He will keep you laughing that is for sure but I must say for a quiet night that it was, meaning there was no going to the Beach Brothers involved, it was fun and full of laughs and smiles.
Now I did in a sense, in a way have to put up with someone they call "the teacher" and he isn't the brightest crayon in the crayon box but luckily he is more friends with Jules' girlfriend and Jules and DDQ than with OO8 so I didn't have to be bothered with him trying to speak English to me so much if at all. I had been around him several times but never introduced and I thank goodie-ness for that right there.
Kermit
