Instead of going to the beach we decided to spend Memorial Day in downtown Charleston and it was a very nice afternoon. We or should I say I played a very good "Japanese" and I think I deserve an Oscar, lol. We ventured into a couple of art galleries and bought some very nice paintings.
Walking around we spotted the pier and where the cruise ships leave from. It was a very pretty view indeed. I can't believe how close we are to the ocean and such. I mean there is nothing but water almost every where you turn. To think that is 5hrs away from where we live. Plenty of trees but not enough water for me, lol. This coming from a girl from TX, lol. I do enjoy the water though I will admit. I had a blast in Cali near it and a great time in Mexico getting in it.
I'm sure it would have been very nice to move here because we get out more here than we do in Atlanta and that is the place we call home. The one place we are suppose to be exploring we do more staying in than we do anything else which is fine by me because neither one of us has found a place there that has grabbed us like a few have done here. Especially visiting the art galleries for me has been a big pleasure and I'm glad OO8 finds delight in viewing the art even if it is just because I like it and I'm an artist but I must say these local artists are very interesting. I was thinking on doing a few paintings and seeing if I can get into a gallery or something or at least get in the art world some how and start selling some of these paintings people claim to like.
I believe this trip we both had a really good time exploring or as OO8 would like to say "being nosey around" Charleston & Mt Pleasant, SC this Memorial Day weekend. I can't wait to get home though. I miss home and the lovely cats. I really hope they aren't or haven't gotten too mad at us and did something crazy to the furniture or something.
